Elizabeth Martinez-Strauss was raised in Tampa, FL and graduated with Honors from the University of South Florida cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She then went on to earn her J.D. degree from Stetson Law School in 2014. Elizabeth has always had a passion for criminal defense, she worked as an intern throughout law school for both the Federal Public Defender of the Middle District of Florida as well as the Hillsborough County Public Defender’s Office.
After graduation, Elizabeth worked tirelessly as an Assistant Public Defender for the 13th Judicial Circuit in Hillsborough County for over two years successfully representing hundreds of clients charged with various misdemeanors and felony offenses. During her time as an Assistant Public Defender, Elizabeth zealously represented her clients in over 30 trials– from juvenile bench trials to felony jury trials. Elizabeth also secured over 100 case dismissals prior to trial.
Like her father, Elizabeth has dedicated her profession to protecting the Constitutional rights of individuals accused of committing criminal offenses and will continue to aggressively fight for each and every client she represents.

Elizabeth is also licensed to practice law in Washington, DC.
